RNB Classic 3-on-3 Tournament

Do you and your friends love to play basketball? Then get them together and sign up for the 3rd annual 3 on 3 Rodgers Neighborhood Basketball outdoor tournament. There is no better way to show off your skills and have some fun with a little competitive basketball. The tournament will be held Saturday July 27^th. The tournament is open to grades 3rd – 8th and registration is $100 per team (includes t-shirt.) The tournament is part of the 7^th Annual RNB Classic and will be held at East High School (1500 East Broad Street.) The deadline is July 10^th!

Basketball season is over…NOW WHAT? RNB High School Basketball Tournament June 1st & 2nd at the Divine Mercy Center.

After a long physically and mentally draining season, a month of relaxation can be crucial for recovery. However, your break is OVER! It’s time to improve your shooting, strength and conditioning, and overall game. While individual training is crucial to your development, there’s no substitute for the REAL THING. Bring your team to The DM Center and play against the areas elite players, to claim the title of RNB High School Basketball Tournament Champs.

RNB Summer Camp

Do you want a chance for your kid to continue learning during the summer months? What better way is there than to enroll your student athlete in Rodgers Neighborhood Basketball Summer Camp at the Divine Mercy Center? Not only will your child continue academic learning in the summer but students will also participate in the thing they love; sports. This summer camp will use basketball, soccer, swimming, bowling, and volleyball to strengthen character, athletic and academic performance in student athletes. Other courses include Sports Media, Math in Sports, Sports Science, and educational field trips. Your child will love to learn this summer! The Summer Academy will be held from June 11^th 2012 through August 4^th 2012 and will be a cost of $60 per week. Lunches will be provided and the participants will have a chance to learn from qualified sports instructors. Fill out the application online now!

RNB High School Basketball Tournament

March Madness has officially begun! But who said the madness has to only be in March? On April 13^th and 14^th, RNB is reigniting the madness by hosting the 2012 Rodgers Neighborhood High School Basketball Tournament. The tournament is open to all high school basketball teams around central Ohio who are worthy of competing amongst other elite teams. This tournament will be filled with amazing plays, great defense, friendly yet intense competition, and enjoyment for both the teams and fans. The first and second place teams will receive trophies to show that they are one of THE best high school basketball teams in Columbus, Ohio. RNB hopes to see you and your basketball team in April competing for the ultimate title, “2012 Rodgers Neighborhood High School Basketball Tournament Champions!”

The Best Basketball Program in Columbus!!!

Where do the professional and college athletes go to give back? The answer may surprise you, Rodgers Neighborhood Basketball. Some of you may have never heard of Rodgers Neighborhood Basketball, affectionately known by its supporters as RNB. You may be familiar with our RNB Classic held annually in July; which is an All Star Game that features players from Ohio State and around the NBA facing off in order to raise money to support youth organizations and community programs. RNB is settin’ trends in Columbus, Ohio with more swag than just a little bit! We want to equip student athletes with skills to help them succeed on AND off the court. We hold several youth leagues, day camps, charter school leagues, church leagues, and clinics where kids receive instruction from the best. We also educate our players by holding some classroom sessions and assigning a weekly vocabulary word to increase basketball skills. All clinics are taught by professional basketball player Leon Rodgers II, former Ohio State player James “JJ” Sullinger and Ohio’s most winning high school coach, Coach Mike Thornton. We have visitors like City Neeeeews from Power 107.5, Jared Sullinger, Julian Sullinger, Evan Ravenel, W. Shawna Gibbs, and countless other star athletes and community leaders. We have a young progressive team leading the way, our Program Director, Makia Kambon and our CEO/Founder Leon Rodgers II. All of our events are held at The Divine Mercy Center located on 80 S. 6^th St., formerly known as the Salesian’s Boys & Girls Club. We hold basketball clinics every Saturday from 9-11am at The LAB, which stands for Life After Basketball. It’s where you want to be…PERIOD!

School’s Out Day Camp

If you missed it, then get ready for another awesome RNB Day Camp jam-packed with fun activities! School is out for Columbus City School students on February 15^th, February 20^th, and Spring Break (April 9^th – 13^th for Columbus City Schools). RNB is hosting a Day Camp from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to give students an amusing way to spend their free days from school (or for parents to enjoy their day off). The RNB Day Camp welcomes all 1^st through 8^th grade students to come. This exciting camp will feature several activities such as bowling, basketball, cheerleading and dance classes, video games, and a music video production class. During the previous Day Camp, each participant played a part in creating a hip-hop song and music video. “Click here” to see the video they created! A tasty lunch will also be provided for all participants. Students can experience this day of enjoyment for only $30 per day or $100 for Spring Break.
